Everyone deserves beautiful, authentic photographs that can stand the test of time

on their wedding day

you're engaged!

It’s time to find the perfect photographer.

As one of the few vendors who will be by your side on your wedding day from start to finish, I love becoming friends with each of my clients. Think of me like your extra bridesmaid/groomswoman! The more comfortable we are, the better equipped I'll be to capture images that are truly authentic to your story and your wedding day. No two weddings are exactly the same, so you can always expect more than just gorgeous images from me!

Cheers,
   Lauren

i’m a wedding & portrait photographer with a heart for timeless & Intentional photography

I remember sitting in my grandma's crowded living room in Tennessee with 20 other family members as my parents set up their carousel slide projector. Before long we were belly laughing at the infamous bouffant hairstyles and the horrendous 70s fashion choices projected onto the wall.

In between laughs, we were able to relive memories of family members who were no longer with us and have conversations about the context of each photo. Each turn of the projector seemed to bring us closer together. To me, photographs are meant to be relived and not just taken.  I believe in the kinds of images that remind you of the joy that can be found in the simplest of moments together.

I began capturing images on film at the age of 26 when I purchased a used Pentax from eBay. The limited amount of images on a roll of film forced me to put my camera down and really observe the beauty in the world, and the people around me.

I was born and raised on southern hospitality, and after marrying my husband Andrew, we moved to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Even though we call Northern Virginia home, I always try to take some of that southern hospitality wherever I go. I love traveling all around the world documenting love stories for couples and families.

My love for photography has brought me everywhere from the beaches of Southern California to the Virginia countryside. Whenever I pick up my camera, I strive to create beautiful and emotional images that tell a story and showcase the beauty of both the people in the images and the world around them.

Photos remind us of the strength, courage and hope that reside in all of us the way few other things can. Even with it's ups and downs, your life, your story, are beautiful and I can't wait to create images to show that!

Big Island, HI

My husband Andrew was deployed for six months of 2020 (during the initial height of the pandemic). Before the world shut down, we were planning on reuniting in Europe and visiting Italy and France. Our plans changed, we went to the Big Island, Hawaii instead a year later and had the time of our lives...

San Diego, CA

traveled in 2020
shot on pentax 645n and Canon 5d MarkIV

This was the last trip I took as the world began to shut down. I went for Hybrid Collective conference 2020 and took so many images between the conference and exploring the city with new friends!

next trip

Charleston, SC

traveled in 2017
shot on canon 5dMarkiii

Andrew and I had never been and it was always on my bucket list to go--especially since there are so many beautiful wedding venues and vignettes throughout the city. This was a foundational trip for me where I tapped into my signature photography style!

next trip

Yellowstone

traveled in 2018

Andrew and I put in a lot of hard work over several years between working full time (and also owning a business for me) and pursuing graduate degrees. After graduating, we jetted off to Jackson, WY to visit Grand Tetons National Park and Yellowstone!
