A couple of weeks ago I met up with the Moore family at the State Arboretum of Virginia for a fall rainy mini session! I was hoping it wouldn’t rain, but honestly, what better way to ring in the fall season and my fall mini sessions than a chilly, rainy, Sunday afternoon? I’ve never been to the State Arboretum of Virginia before, and neither had the Moores, but in the short thirty minutes we were there we all decided we would have to come back on a less rainy day. It’s so pretty (and expansive), and I would totally recommend this place for anyone who wants a date idea!

Fun fact: I’ve known Emily since middle school! Unfortunately we went to separate high schools and colleges, so I haven’t gotten to see her in a little over a decade, but she still has the same carefree spirit–just now as an amazing mom! It was really sweet to meet her husband Donnie and two kids, Isaiah and Jaxon, and witness just how close they all are. It may have been a dreary day, but not for these guys! We all shared smiles and laughs in those short moments we were together and I am super excited to share some highlights from their session!
