Shooting film has always been a passion of mine from the time that I started photography. I believe everyone deserves beautiful, authentic photographs that stand the test of time, and film captures all of those things. While most wedding photographers shoot strictly digital, some of us (like me!) shoot digital and classic film. A lot of my clients ask why I integrate film photography into my wedding days, and today I am going to tell you about the benefits of film on your wedding day.
There is no need for harsh editing or filters.
Romantic, classic, and timeless.
One-click, and your real-time moment is captured. Unlike digital, we only get one shot.
Film captures beautiful skin tones and the colors of the sky. The colors are true to life. They are creamy and white.
Shooting film to us is intentional; we are able to focus and really be present for every photo. One roll of film has 12-36 shots, and every picture has to tell a story as we only get one shot
We are constantly waiting for the perfect moment to press the button; every photo has a purpose. We create a shot list ahead of time, and those photos are the purpose.
As an artist, we are all creative. We get to use our skills to show you and your family a more creative outlook on your wedding day.
Film is gorgeous and captures you in real-time with real colors as your eyes would naturally see it. However, on your wedding day, I (or a second shooter) is also shooting digital. It is always good to shoot digital alongside film for a backup. Rest assured, you will get all of the images at your wedding!
I would love to talk to you more about shooting film at your wedding!
