Alyssa and Aaron married in the heart of Washington D.C. at the iconic DAR headquarters. Their details were effortlessly classic and accentuated the natural beauty and architecture of their venue. This wedding was a dream for a fine art film photographer like me! Moreover, from the pre-wedding welcome dinner at the Riggs Hotel rooftop to the post-wedding brunch, Alyssa and Aaron sought to create a wedding experience that put their friends and family first. They spent years traveling the world and have made Washington D.C. their home. Since most friends and family traveled from out of town, they spent their energy showing their guests their favorite parts of living in this city. Alyssa and Aaron’s wedding weekend honestly made me fall in love with the city and its history all over again too!

Traditional greenery, blush and cream roses, taupe dresses, black tuxes, dinner by candlelight, a string duo, jazz trio, and live band, and some local favorite eateries were just some of my favorite highlights of the day. Other favorite moments included their sweet first look and portraits on the terrace, Aaron’s pure delight after breaking the glass, Alyssa’s excitement after the ceremony recessional, Alyssa and her father’s special dance (you have to scroll to see that one), and the ambiance of cocktails and dancing under the stars.

This is certainly a wedding to remember, and I can’t wait for you to see it all!
