On April 13, 2019 I joined Jasmine and Thad at the beautiful Piedmont Club in Haymarket, VA for their wedding! Jasmine and Thad celebrated with an American ceremony and an Indian reception, and all of the details came together so perfectly for such a joyous day!

Thad and his groomsmen immediately made us feel at ease with their brotherly relationship and comical antics. Jasmine and her bridesmaids, in contrast, were so relaxed as they were getting ready for the day! Fun throwback hits were playing on the radio, yummy snacks were being eaten, and gifts were being given between the girls and moms in the room. Amidst the getting-ready, we got to photograph the stunning details! It was double the fun for me because we got to photograph Jasmine and Thad getting ready twice and in two gorgeous outfits! They donned the traditional American tux and gown for their ceremony and then changed into their traditional Indian clothing for the reception.

Jasmine and Thad shared a first look that made me smile SO hard. You could just see the love in their eyes!! I’m so thrilled they chose to have a private moment to each other before the ceremony started! Their ceremony was short, but still just as sweet. We packed as much emotion of a traditional ceremony in about 15 minutes! After the confetti settled on the ground and everyone made their way back inside, Jasmine and Thad changed their outfits, we took a few more portraits, and then we all made our way inside for the party!

The reception was a perfect blend of Indian and American, and I had so much fun photographing it! A few family members and friends performed Indian dances in celebration, and when the DJ played the Indian songs, it was hard to keep myself from joining in on the dance floor! Everyone was so lively, and the clothing was stunningly colorful, that this was definitely a wedding to remember for me! Without further ado, here are some highlights from Jasmine & Thad’s day!
