On a brisk early spring day, Lucy and TJ and I met up for their engagement session in historic old town Clifton. I had been looking forward to this engagement session since we started planning it because my very own engagement session with Andrew was here in historic Clifton! It was so interesting being on the other side of the camera this time, and I loved getting to go back to this special place and recreate some memories with these two!
Historic Clifton was a perfect setting for Lucy and TJ because (1) they are the perfectly relaxed couple and (2) they have spent a lot of time in a small country town similar to this one! When TJ showed up in boots, I knew I had to take them to the big red barn for a couple of shots! I loved walking around the town with them and just talking about favorite pastimes as we tried not to freeze. I’m pretty sure Andrew and TJ would get along SO great because as soon as I mentioned to him we got a smoker to cook meats in, he was ALL IN. We had some good laughs and they took the opportunity when I was photographing ring shots to go have a drink at the bar, which honestly…kinda wishing Andrew and I had done the same back then, haha!
I can’t wait for their summer wedding at the Historic Christ Church Accokeek, and their relaxed reception at TJ’s family farm just down the road! It’s going to be so much fun, and SO THEM. This session was perfect, so here are a few highlights:
