Carmela and James and I met at one of my favorite coffee shops, Republik Coffee Bar, for a photography consult with their wedding planner and parted ways confirmed in the books! Elizabeth is a fabulous wedding planner and we bonded over our mutual obsession for office supplies and notebooks while Carmela and James arrived. Carmela and James were SO SWEET and SO WELL PREPARED that honestly Elizabeth didn’t really need to ask me anything during the meeting! We were all so excited to work together that they emailed me that night confirming they wanted me to photograph their October wedding.

We scheduled this engagement session hoping that the Cherry Blossoms would have been blooming, but we missed them by just a couple short weeks. Carmela works at Rent the Runway (along with Elizabeth), so of course she came dressed in such a beautiful and stylish dress! The gorgeous floral print more than made up for the lack of blooms on the trees (and honestly, I think the light that came through the branches was even more ethereal). This was an engagement shoot to remember!
