Brittany and Jacob got married on the PERFECT Saturday in September under a big oak tree with her horse nibbling on grass in the pasture behind her. The temperature only rose to the low 80s and was paired with partly cloudy skies and low humidity. It was such an idyllic setting as the sun set during their ceremony, and a wedding day that I won’t forget for some time!
Brittany & Jacob have been together for three years and were originally supposed to get married back in June. I was also supposed to meet them out in Nashville for their engagement session, but as Covid progressed across the US, we were forced to push back their original wedding date. We prayed for a reprieve in the Fall, and were given such a gift of a day!
I’ve known Brittany since the days when we both worked in the photography department at Busch Gardens Williamsburg (memories!!!). We also trained and ran our first half marathon together (Disney Princess Half Marathon in 2015!). Even though jobs took us in separate directions (and states), I’m so thankful that we’ve kept in touch and that she asked me to photograph her special day to an incredible man!
I’ve only gotten to spend this one afternoon with Jacob, but he is such a kind and thoughtful person and I can tell he deeply respects her and treats her well! They shared the SWEETEST first look and may have shed a few tears. But the rest of the day was spent giggling together and soaking in every moment as a new bride and groom.
Brittany and Jacob, I hope you enjoy married life as much as your wedding day. May every day be a new adventure in life and love! And Brittany, Disney Princess Half Marathon round two???
