I know we can all appreciate black and white photos, and for a good reason. They are timeless, elegant, and beautiful. Before color photography, all we had was black and white film. When I capture black and white photos, it is usually on film.

Black and white photography has no distractions and limitless depth. It also adds emotion, the emotions that you don’t see in a color photo. Black and white photography allows me to use my creative skills differently, I have to focus a little more so I can see the shapes and backgrounds, so the details and couples don’t get lost.

My favorite part about black and white photography is how timeless it is. The timelessness comes from old photos I have found of my family and it reminds me of the olden days when they were younger.
