I remember swooning over Andrea’s wedding plans when we met at Starbucks one stormy afternoon. We bonded over caramel macchiatos and blush details over the course of two hours, and I think that’s when we both knew she was meant to be a #laurenthompsonbride! Andrea and James had a beautiful and timeless engagement session at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., which was a good indicator of how posh and beautiful their wedding day would be.
The morning of the wedding, I arrived at the bride’s getting ready location and was immediately greeted by her family members and closest friends! They had the most organized getting ready space with everything laid out on a table and in a mobile closet rack in the front living room area. Makeup and hair final touches were being applied in the back living room, and snacks and sparkling rose were being passed around to insure everyone was fed!
Nerves were definitely abuzz between Andrea and James, but as soon as they laid eyes on each other and met at the end of the church aisle, all was right. They couldn’t stop smiling at each other the entire ceremony and giggled through portraits! Now, let me tell you about this reception. First of all, it ended at 12:30am! Secondly, it had the LIVELIEST dance floor I have ever seen. We all boogied down to 90s hits, current goodies, and finished with a couple of oldies. It was truly a beautiful celebration of love, and I am so glad I got to witness it and capture it!
