On November 23, 2019 Jessica and David became husband and wife surrounded by loved ones in a cozy and intimate evening wedding ceremony at the charming Morningside Inn in Frederick, Maryland.

Morningside Inn is nestled in the rolling hills of Maryland countryside, and you don’t even realize you’ve come across this gem until you’ve practically parked out front! When you walk through the front doors you can see through to the back windows of the top floor and out across the property. Grassy hills are speckled with trees and situated against a pond. As you walk further into the building, you’re met with a towering stone fireplace and the coziest room filled with all sorts of warm woods.

The ceremony was originally supposed to be held outside, but Mother Nature had other plans! We all arrived to venue and the sun was setting fast and the rain was rolling in right as their ceremony entrances were scheduled to start. In a last-minute change, the incredible venue staff flipped their cocktail/reception space into the ceremony space. While they were doing that, the wedding party and I rushed outside to take advantage of the remaining light for portraits! We only had a few minutes, but made each one count! Everyone had such warm smiles on their faces amidst the cold and rainy evening weather.

It was readily apparent how much everyone cared about Jessica and David. During the reception, the wedding party even surprised Jessica and David with a Skype call from David’s brother stationed in Bahrain! The event staff set up a computer and projector screen next to the dance floor so everyone could see him and say hi!

I can’t wait to show you the highlights from this special night! From the matching bridal party flannels, to the candles lighting up the ceremony, the crackling fire during dinner, and cozy blanket favors for guests to wrap up in at the end of the night, this wedding definitely made me excited for winter!
