On October 26, 2019, Carmela and James celebrated their marriage with a vibrant autumn wedding at 1757 Golf Club featuring the season’s best tones and florals. I rarely get to photograph oranges and reds, and was absolutely thrilled at the opportunity to spend so much time with this color palette!

I first met Carmela, James, and their event planner Elizabeth at a coffee shop back in the beginning of the year, and we knew we were a good fit almost immediately! I loved getting to know the three of them over the course of the last few months and had SO much fun with them during their engagement session during Cherry Blossom season here in Washington D.C.! (Probably one of the biggest engagement session galleries I’ve delivered…haha).

Their wedding ceremony was filled with friends and family who held incredible love and excitement for Carmela and James. That excitement quickly translated to a fun-filled reception from start to finish! There was one extraordinary element of their wedding day that made my jaw drop: their florals! Between the bridal bouquet, reception centerpieces, and the MAGNIFICENT floral arch, Petals and Promises did such an amazing job at bringing Carmela’s vision to life!!
