Meghan and Alex’s special day was my last wedding of 2019! I can’t believe how quickly time has flown by this year. Meghan and I met up for coffee to talk about her vision for her wedding day almost exactly one year ago and wow…it really came together! Meghan and Alex joined together as husband and wife with an intimate celebration of friends and family at the Toolbox Studio in Washington D.C.
Just a short walk away from Dupont Circle, the Toolbox Studio doubles as a pilates studio and art gallery during the day. When we met up for a walkthrough about a month before the big day, the space was beautiful and it is such a unique Washington D.C. wedding location! The staff did an amazing job setting up all of the special details and truly transformed the venue into an ethereal space for the two of them. The ambiance was magical!
Meghan and Alex met at a summer camp here in Virginia about 5 years ago. Alex is originally from the UK, while Meghan is from the United States! A lot of their relationship over the past 4.5 years has been spent long-distance, either from each other or their families, so their wedding day was both joyous and bittersweet as the two became one. A few tears were shed during the toasts!
The day was beautiful from start to finish, and without further ado, some highlights from my last wedding of 2019!
